About this cat
Rupert was adopted by a co-worker. He was a an abandoned kitten found under a house and we have him a fur-ever home in May of 2014. Rupert is a singer! He sings all day and in the morning when he is hungry. He has the cutest heart shaped nose in the world. When he is alarmed his nose will get very pink and the heart will appear.. "Putting on the cute" is what I call it...Rupert is a magic cat! His tail bone at the tip is slightly curled. When I discovered this I was concerned thinking someone did it to him before he came home but his vet said that's how it was when he was born. I love him so much. Rupert will eat anything and everything. He loves ham, cereal milk, scrambled eggs, anything..exact opposite of Phoebe.
Rupert has a freckle on his right eye... I think I broke his heart and that's why it's there. He had really bad breath for a while that smelt like macaroni and cheese but we are over this. He will sit by the door all day until you come home. He will always be right there sitting from your departure to arrival. And upon coming home a big plop in front of you and a rub my belly please! Both Phoebe and Rupert love their belly to be rubbed. They lie on their backs and just...please....tum tum rubs?
Rupert loves my garden outside. He will lick the dew off of my star flowers and chew on the ferns. Rupert is very stealthy and cautious aka easily spooked. But he will have his moments of "kitten crazies" and later on I discovered an article stating that how we, as humans get floaters... little squiggly lines that float by in our eyes sometimes as do cats, and because cats vision is a lot lot better than ours, the article states that's what they are seeing so it's most likely they are trying to chase it. So when he gets crazy and climbs the walls and bolts from one place to another for no apparent reason he's got the "squiggles". Trying to catch or escape them we may never know.
Rupert skeleton is very fragile and smaller than Phoebe's. He is mostly fluff.
I bathe him once every 2 months because he needs that with his beautiful coat being so long. Rupert still kneeds. Even at 3! He's a sweetie pie.. and will stand up and protect his love, Phoebe. He loves Phoebe so much I think it hurts him sometimes when she gets all huffy and walks away. I think Phoebe makes fun of him a lot and he just puts up with it. And when we go on our walks in the kitty stroller he more a for like 3-4 times and then shuts up...Phoebe loves going for walks- not a peep!
Both of them talk to me in my sleep and I have found myself waking up angry and shouting sometimes sweating because of the nightmares of people trying to take them from me or hurt them. This went on for about the first 6 months.
I love them so much. I would die without them.
