Henry was a stray that came with my house when I purchased it a couple of years ago. Neighbours told me he'd been abandoned by his previous owners. I decided to take him in- he'd been abused in the past it seemed- he'd cower at being touched. I soon gained his trust though. Last year I found out Henry had FIV but was assured he'd still have a quality life under the right circumstances- with that in mind I tried to give him the best life I could. After an operation though, Henry got a serious and untreatable infection and before I knew it, it was too late. Having to put Henry down was one of the hardest days of my life. This was the cat who'd made me a "cat person". Such a gentle and loving animal. RIP Henry.
