I couldn't agree more with the other Picato friends' comments. Boo and Bears will know that nothing can diminish your love for them. Charlie looks delightful, please give her a hug from me.
I'm absolutely sure that both Boos and Bears will look down from Rainbow Bridge and say "yes, that's good that another kitty has a good home and lots of love like we did!". You are not disloyal to them, you love cats and give your love to those here on earth, without ever forgetting them!
It's hard, but it really is a tribute to those cats who have passed on, to share your home and love with another animal. The ones who've passed are never forgotten and always in our hearts. God bless you and beautiful Charlie.
Sometimes I do still feel a bit disloyal to Boos and Bears, for having Charlie in our house, but then I realise that I have to let them go and keep giving my affections to those in this life (and there are many cats out there that need some love), while remembering the love for those who've passed on. Besides, Boos and Bears are probably looking down on Charlie and thinking she'll have a good retirement here on the marina!!!
Charlie is my mum's cat who I've been looking for the past 3 weeks while she is overseas. She is 15 years old and was a favourite of my late dad. She has settled in well here and is very energetic - she loves playing with her favourite toy - a laser pen. Will be sad to give her back to mum when she's back in two weeks
