We live in Georgetown/ Ontario/Canada now but originally we are from Lithuania. We came about 13 years ago and brought Jessica and Patricia with us and later we were joined by quite a few Canadian cats.

When we saw this cat for the 1st time we didn't know it's male or female. "Kot" means cat-male in Russian, cat-female is called "koshka". Well, we made up the name Kota by combining Kot and ending 'a' so that name would suit whoever it is, and when the cat started to respond when we called it Kota-Kota-Kota, name stayed with the cat...
