I think Kota-Kota is happy now here with us. He used to fight a lot and his body and head are full of scars, he was quite sick few times and it was a challenge to give him medicine when he did not allow us even close to him. After he was neutered he seems healthy, purrs more and more often and now likes to be picked up for cuddles!
I had a cat, Evie, like that....she came from the shelter but she was semi-feral having been found and rescued on her own. I had an older cat that was "top" cat in the house and kind of kept her in her place. Evie didn't even meow for months as feral cats learn not to draw attention to themselves. I think it was a year before she hopped on the couch next to me....long process but they appreciate your patience!
Kota-Kota was a stray or abused cat with zero trust to humans. It took almost two long years to turn him into "family man". After 6 months of food and milk he allowed us to touch him; after few more months he walked into our house but still would run away; this summer after Katia got pregnant we finally were able to catch him neutered and vaccinated after what he disappeared for 10 days. When he came back he was ours!
