I just got an email from the shelter -- Clyde was adopted about 30 minutes ago, and seemed very happy!!! Was it anyone on here?

They put up a new pic of Clyde today, and its much better. Sterling is a no-kill shelter, they will keep Clyde as long as it takes to find a home. Unfortunately, they're not great on facilities like some of the other shelters, which are more like vacation homes for cats. Sterling is pretty basic, a cage, blankets, litter box/food, etc.

Thanks tele mark. I don't see that he would stand a chance for adoption with that picture. I hope they provide a better one.

Oh, okay I see when Floppy wouldnt allow another male cat it doesnt make sense to adopt Clyde and for Chloe its better, too to be without Clyde. Actually my boys are the same and my girl is even worth in accepting cats that dont belong to the house. But..Im glad you will keep an eye on the boy and his adoption. My first thought was " Oh, no I hope its not one of these shelters that kill the animals when they cant find a home for them in time........Please let us know when Clyde has found people again that will take care of him hopefully as long as he lives.

pmgr111 -- I agree. I just emailed the shelter and let them know that pic, taken at his induction, isn't helping. Hopefully they will take another pic and put it up soon.

I really can't stand to see this picture. I'm in California so can't do anything. I hope there is a new happy picture of him some day soon.

I wish I could take him, but Floppy wouldn't allow another male cat in here, I tried it before. I am watching Clyde's progress and will get him if he sits too long there and place him in a NH shelter that moves cats quick, but Sterling has a VERY good record of finding homes quickly. Also, according to the previous owner, Clyde pestered the heck out of Chloe, so it probably wouldn't work here either.

My heart is breaking! Poor Clyde. I'm in Texas or I'd be there in a minute! You're a kind hearted soul. I hope he finds a forever home soon.

Poor, poor Clyde, how lonely and scared he must be. He could come to me if he wasn't thousands of miles away. I hope some kind person gives him a home soon.

Poor Clyde, he lost his family and his friend, he must be very much afraid of the new situation .......Hope so much, he will find a good home soon. Too bad that many of us live thousands of miles away from him :( telemark is there no chance that you can adopt him, too ?

Breaks my heart too, poor Clyde, hope he finds a home, but at his age, this will not be easy...and to be separated from Chloe too, poor boy....

This is Clyde, the other cat from the home that gave up Chloe. He ended up at Sterling Animal Shelter in Sterling, MA, where he was originally adopted from.
