Thank you for your sympathy too, Greta, and please accept mine. It seems that this day could never be a nice day for both of us! Such a coincidence, how strange is it...
Oh Aggie, I'm so sad for you too. This day must bring back a lot of memories of your Mum. You have my heartfelt sympathy. I lost my Dad seventeen years ago today, 28th December 1991 and it seems like yesterday. My Dad was from Bratislava in Slovakia.....He loved all pets especially our dog Manuela and cat angel Timothy but sadly never got to
see Thomas. I think they would have loved each other.... Thinking of you at this sad time, Greta......xxxxxxx
Oh my I can't stop crying. This is so wonderfull of you Greta and what a beautifull resting place for Thomas. With all you have done he will never feel lonely, cold or scared..... just loved and warm and happy.
Thank you so much Taffy...It's been a very, very sad day but the owner was right when she said that the sun always shines here when a pet is buried no matter how bad the weather. Sure enough, even though the sky was dark and overcast with rain clouds, the sun shone through brightly as he was buried and I saw a beautiful rainbow.....It comforted me so much..........
Yes, micino...I will put a picture and another copy of his tribute book so visitors can read about him and know how much we all loved him. I make dichroic fused glass jewellery and I plan to make a glass cross for him, (pink of course) and tie it with ribbon to his wooden cross which will go on the grave in a few weeks time. The owner is going to try to get a pink stain for the wood....Oh, I miss Thomas so much....but I know he is safe here......
It may sound strange, but when I worked out in the country, I used to eat my lunch by a cemetery (in my car) where there were graves from the 1700s.......It was such a peaceful place for me....This is beautiful with the open fields ..... 30 miles is not too far to drive for an old friend.......God bless you Greta.....Peace and comfort and hope for a better tomorrow...Love you
I wanted everything to be special for him. His casket is lined in pink, his favourite colour and I made a book of all the lovely messages and tributes that we received. I laminated them all and bound them in a book with pink ribbon and decorated it with butterflies. I put a CD in with him so he can hear me speaking to him if he is frightened or lonely and I gave him a ball of cream and gold sparkly wool to hold.....
The pet cemetery is in a lovely, peaceful location and is surrounded by fields. All the graves are lovingly cared for by the owner and she says that she feels the spirits of the departed pets are all around. She knows all the names and stories about the pets and loves them all. Her own pets are all buried here too. She bought some beautiful pink flowers for Thomas and his casket is lined with pink...his favourite colour.....
