Storm will sometimes let me place him on my lap, but squirms away quickly. Mikesch comes up on the bed now, but no lap.

Paulinchen was a feral farm cat but after some time she even loved to be picked up ......Do Storm and Mikesch like to sit on your lap ?

He definitely likes and trusts me, but like Storm, he doesn't like being picked up at all. That's the last thing left that defines them as definitely still and always feral. If you pick up Storm and hold him past maybe 20 seconds and relent, you'll need Band-aids at best!

I've never doubted that it will be like this and the day will come that you can carry Mikesch in your arms whenever you like.

Mikesch sleeps on the bed now, with no concern of me being there, most of the time with is back to me. The only thing I can't do is pick him up without the element of surprise. Quite a privilege!
