I had 4 cats at one time in a one-room studio and I used to have one cat,(a black boy named Odi) in a carrier next to me in my bed while I slept because he would terrorize me and all the other cats because he wanted to go outside. He was an alley cat from Chicago. It took a long time, but he got more mellow eventually! He used to eat plastic bags and was constipated a lot. I'm sorry you have to go through this. I think she needs a "time out."
Thanks everyone. FIV cats can live a long and healthy life but Marilyn has other problems as well and I am afraid it has put a damper on her life. And now we are all miserable because she can't go outside. She is terrorizing us.
I love you, Marilyn. My Mia is an indoor cat! She was always an indoor cat, though. Best Friends of Kanab Utah (a society that does not euthanize pets says: "I had a roommate," Karen tells me, "whose vet told her to euthanize her 12-year-old cat when he was diagnosed with FIV! Big John is now 20 years old and completely blind, but otherwise perfectly healthy! People are always surprised to see how healthy Bentley is. But that's the way most of the FIV cats are!"
Mar Mar - I'm very sad to hear this news also. I'm praying for a miracle and hope that you can adjust. My thoughts are with you and Stacey, Corey and "Grandman" ... Hugs and kisses ....
