have you tried changing the litter you are using.... dont put the litter tray in the open try and make it a little hidden.... i would not give up on him just yet.... where is he going back to. check his paws maybe they are sore and the litter is hurting him. and is he neutered. if you give up on him the next family might not be as understanding.

Buddy and Baluga getting along finally. But the sad thing is, Buddy has to go back...My husband and I are sick about it. He will not stop peeing outside the litter box. We did get him his own new litter box, and he did go in it for a couple days, but is back peeing on the carpet. My husband is going through chemo right now and definitly does not need this. I feel so bad, I grew attached to this big guy. He has to go back today.
