First let me say I'm thrilled that Thomas' test results came back with great news. YIPPEE!!!!!!! I'm sure he'll be back to his old self soon. Your town does look charming! My Mum's side of the family comes from Hyde Cheshire. Maybe someday I'll get over to visit them. My Mum went for a visit in 1970!

Yes, I live in the UK, on the east coast of Northern England. the village of Heddon on the Wall where I live is about seven miles up the river from Newcastle upon Tyne on the horizon to the left of the picture.......

When Thomas lived here, from this point he would have looked out at all the bridges, the famous quayside and the cathedral. The Sage opera house, just left of the Tyne Bridge had not been built then.....It's a beautiful view from here....
