Super, thanks for the info! The site is still up so I guess they are still doing business. I know I don't have to question the strength of the hammocks if they had no problem handling Floppy at 23. lbs (she must be a big all around cat, because she doesn't look fat to me even at her heaviest) I'm sure 8 lb. Claire will be just fine!

Aw, so sad the final visit to the vet. I know it is just overwhelming sadness right now, but I hope that soon you can feel happy again when you think of Pud, and all the good times you had with her. I have sent out a thought to my dog Sam, and my cat Cricket who are Rainbow Bridge veterans that a sweety named Pud will shortly be arriving, and to take her under their wing, and show her the ropes.

She likes it when you pick her up, and bop around in time to the music. My last cat Cricket, LOVED music. Whenever I'd pick up a guitar, she would come running, and sit beside me to listen.

Well done! Trust me, we ALL know how hard it is. For every half decent shot of Claire I post, there has to be 10 stinkers. I can't tell you how many unusable pics I've snapped because she swings around at the last minute, lifts her tail, and points her tailpipe directly at the camera!
Claire says:
No snack for Claire, after taking the pictures I rolled up the bamboo blinds behind the drapes to see what the fascination was all about, and the fly wisely flew for its life!
Claire says:
I'm going to take it very cautiously. I'm not going to force the issue if it's clear she hates the harness, but obviously I do expect some initial resistance, that hopefully she will get over. And even then, I will just walk her around the apartment building hallways/lobby/elevators until I get a sense of how she reacts to meeting strange people, and situations, and after doing that for a few weeks, and only if she seems unflappable, we will venture out into the outside world.
