Greta .... these pictures of your precious and beautiful but tragically ill Thomas remind me so much of my own beloved Chester when he was so ill ... in fact, the likeness is uncanny! I can only hope and pray that they have found each other at Rainbow Bridge - if you see this message, I would love to be in touch some way ... I only found this fantastic website recently, unfortunately 6 months since dearest Chester lost his battle.
I have some new photos from when I was at the vets but I'm finding it hard to upload them at the moment. The vet is pleased that Thomas is brighter and feels a bit better. However, he was sick again today. I wish I knew what was wrong.........
Thomas was my last mind yesterday night and we are so glad that the vet coud help him. We know how difficult it is to see the own darling ill and cannot help. We all love our cats like a family member. Best wishes for brave Thomas and you!
Hi everyone, your kindness to me & Thomas is magnificent and we love you all so much. I have been to the vets today to see Thomas. They brought him in from the hospital area and he came over on the table where they put him straight to me purring away. I sat down and he got on my knee. It was hard for him with the drip in his leg but he managed and we had a lovely cuddle for an hour, just me and him in the nurse's room.
in the past few days i've been thinking of Thomas a lot!! Even though i don't know him i like him a lot and you can't imagine how happy i am just knowing he is better =) You go Thomas! Kisses from all of us! xoxoxox
Thank you for you kind support and words for my current situation. Picato family has provided me with some assistance and emotional support during a horrific time and you all have made me feel safe for the moment. I have strenght to continue my fight for life and success. The loving words mean as much and the charitable gifts that were sent to me by some to the community, so THANK YOU! AND GOD BLESS. HELLO Thomas you are so sweet, prayers for you too. Love Dale, TT, Pun and CRAZY Ollie.
I am so glad that you had to change vets. My mother has been dehydrated many times and throwing up is a big sign of it.........I know, my mother's not a cat.....Thank God for thorough vets.....Thank you for letting us know. Sweet Thomas!
Tk you so much for your lovely message. The vet is being so thorough, it's very reassuring. I hope the tests he does will give good news.......I love Thomas so much.....xxxxxx
HOW HAPPY I AM TO KNOW THOMAS IS BETTER! MAY BE THIS VET WILL BE MORE CLEVER TO FIND WHAT TO DO, WITH ANIMALS IT IS NOT SO EASY, THEY CAN'T EXPLAIN WHAT THEY FEEL! I HOPE YOU ARE LESS WORRIED, AND THAT THOMAS WILL BE OK FOR XMAS! KISSES !!!!
It's 12.00 noon and I have just spoken to the vet at the clinic and Thomas has had a comfortable night and is no longer vomiting and retching. He is a little better now he has had fluids. They are tracing his full history including a previous emergency visit to try and see what it can be. Thank God he is a little better than last night. Thank you all for caring for us so much.....Greta & Thomas xxxxxxx
I'm thinking so much about Thomas these days, hope he will pull through this bad time, no, I'm sure he will pull through! He is young and in good hands with the new vet. We love you Thomas!!
I's 7.00am here in England and I have just read all your kind words and I am so touched at how huch love and caring you have for us. It means so much. I have lain awake thinking of my little darling and hoping he can be well. To see him like this breaks my heart in two. I love him more than life itself, he is my world. When I was ill he comforted me and helped me to get well...I hope I can do the same for him......
....Also, I was able to visit my cat whenever I wanted to when he was sick and dehydrated........My heart breaks for you, be strong Mack. The Lord is your shepherd. Forgive me for giving advice..........I love your sweet son, Thomas......
Mack, I had a cat in the hospital for one month and he came back home and was fine for another 2 years......he was a very sick cat........I hope this gives you hope..........Do the vets tell you what to feed him. Even though they like milk, unless it is raw, it is very bad with antibiotics and other bad things in it....
I know in my heart that Thomas will pull through! We all Love Thomas and do pray for our furry friend! Love Hugs and Hopes for you and your Son Thomas! Batman..
I'm so sorry Mack. I know how miserable you must feel. It can really consume you, but be strong, and believe in the power of prayer. You and Thomas have a lot of people that send their love and well wishes. This new vet seems to really know what Thomas needs. He's in good hands, and I'm sure will be coming home to you soon. Lots of love, Susan and the "girls".
I agree he is definately in the right place and will get the care he needs. Be strong Thomas your mom needs you just like you need her. We are praying for you both Mac.
yes, the vets usually put them on fluids right away when they are sick....it is good that this vet did that for him right away....it's hard for us to know when they are getting dehydrated but when they are ill they usually are....hang in there Thomas
HANG IN THERE MACKEMCAT...THOMAS WILL BE OK. SOUNDS LIKE HE IS IN THE RIGHT VETS NOW. I ALWAYS WORRY ABOUT A VET THAT DOES NOT PROVIDE OVER NIGHT CARE..... IS YOUR PET ONLY SUPPOSED TO BE SICK IN THE DAY TIME.CATS DONT GET DEHYDRATED THAT QUICK. SO TRUST ME HE IS IN THE RIGHT PLACE NOW. BIG HUGS FOR YOU. XXXX JANE
Thank you so much for being such good and caring friends. The new vet said Thomas was dehydrated today and yet the other vet says he wasn't yesterday so it happened very quickly. He was put straight on a drip and the vet is going to get the info on what injections he has had from the other vet. They will have a better idea of what is wrong when they have done other tests. I'm so devastated.....Thomas is my world.......
IT IS SO SAD TO KNOW THOMAS IS SO ILL! I HOPE THE NEW VET WILL FIND WHAT TO DO FOR HIM AND HELP HIM TO RECOVER AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. MANY THOUGHTS TO BOTH OF YOU AND ALL THE FAMILY.
I AM SO SORRY TO SEE THOMAS IS SO ILL..... YOU KNOW IF HE IS ON A DRIP AND OBSERVED HE SHOULD BE OK..WHEN A CAT IS GETTING SICK LIKE THOMAS IS,IT IS SO SO IMPORTANT THAT HE GETS FLUIDS IN AND AN I/V IS THE BEST WAY. DO THE VETS HAVE ANY IDEA AS TO WHATS GOING ON. THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS FOR YOU ALL . XXXX PAWDI
Thomas is at the vets and is very ill. I had to take him to another vet as an emergency as his own vet couldn't adnit him as I wanted him to, as he had no overnight care. Thomas's condition worsened today and he was sick several times. I was desperate and frightened for him so rang another vet. The surgery he is in have put him on a drip to get fluids in. Thomas didn't want me to leave him and was anxious. I'm crying so much I can't stop.........
