I had a cat named Sammi who was a heat seeker. Any hot spot she could find was a piece of bliss to her.

Cats get no discomfort by heat, up to 53 Celsius (!) and even 56 with access to water. That's a remnant of when they were desert animals. Amazing creatures, cats! I still don't get how my Zuzu with all that fur gets no discomfort by heat, when climbing trees etc.while I swelter in my T-shirt!

If he's like my cats, the AC can be on, and they'll all want to go out to swelter in the heat! IOW -- He's in Cat Paradise.
