Yes I work at a pet store and I work in the specialty department which is fish, birds, reptiles and small animals. :) I hope your fish becomes well soon!!
I agree with you, Stacey and thank you for your good wishes. It's awful when a fish is sick....you feel so helpless. I am having to hand feed him twice a day with thawed frozen daphnia and clean out the excess food each evening and do a complete water test to make sure the water condition, PH, Nitrate etc. is ok. I am determined he should have the best chance I can give him....so here's hoping. Do you work with fish every day?.......x
In the garden, I have a pond with golden and blue orfe and some sarasa comets. Inside I have two big tanks, one with koi (now twelve years old) and one with two lemon goldfish, (very small), one oranda and one fantail(both very small too). The sick fish is a golden orfe out of the pond and has a problem with balance. It has been under treatment for a week........
I have thought about another interest of Bruno's....medicine. I have a sick fish under treatment in an isolation tank. Bruno has been removing the towel I put over it to keep the tank dark to aid recovery. Three times, he has been caught, with a concerned look on his face, tapping on the tank to catch the fish's attention. Needless to say, he has now been totally banned from the vicinity of the tank.....
