I think that one thing that had so many of us upset yesterday is that this picture was posted under the tag "funny." Today it's posted under the tag of "odd." I have not changed my mind, I still feel very sad for this cat.

I TOO HAVE A LONG HAIRED CAT. HAVE A LOOK AT HIM IT IS SNUCKY KELLY. ALL LONG HAIRED CATS ARE HIGH MAINTENANCE. REGULAR BRUSHING IS ALL THAT IS NEEDED BUT YOU MUST BE COMMITED.MOST LONG HAIRED BREEDS DONT LIKE TO BE BUSHED. SO ONCE A YEAR HAVE HIM SEDATED AND BRUSH OUT THE UNDER COAT.NO STRESS TO THE CAT OR YOU AND YOUR CAT WILL FEEL WONDERFUL AND WONT HAVE TO BE SHAVED. I WOULD LOVE TO SEE ANOTHER PIC OF THIS CAT.

I have to come to her defense. I have a cat that has to be shaved once a year because no matter how much he gets brushed, his hair gets matted. If you don't get rid of the mats they can become tighter to a point that it pulls skin open and causes sores amoung other things. It's not cruel at all. I'm sure this kitty feels much better and will be more happy with the new coat he/she grows back. Please give her a break.

I agree with the other comments. This is NOT funny. This is a cruel thing to do. I am so sad for this cat. You truely are the "crazy cat lady."

i dont like it. i agree, it's not funny, there are lots of funny photos of cats, but this isn't one. no me gusta, hay fotos de gatos divertidas, pero esta no es una de ellas.
