Yes it does the first couple of times, but after using it every day for a while very little comes out of her now.

Been using the Furminator de-shedding tool on Claire for about 5 weeks now. I wish I knew about these when I first got her. It was so surprising how much dead hair the wire slicker brush was leaving behind. Hoping this cuts way back on her hairball troubles...so far so good!
