Male cats typically don't drink enough water on their own. Add a little water to what ever you end up feeding him, wet or dry. It's the easiest way to add water to the diet. Pax drinks the water first then eats the food.

Sometimes vets recommend feeding either wet food or wet and dry combo rather than all dry food. Wait and see what your vet recommends.

I have 2 boys with this problem-it's very scary but he should be fine. Special diet and lots of water work to keep mine out of the vet's office.
