Nothing like bugs to let indoor cats feel the thrill of the hunt!

MMM, moths! Claire's faves are the big juicy spiders that take over the balcony in the summer, and occasionally get in the apartment. These freaks resemble eight legged concord grapes, and when Claire sees one dinner bells go off in her head!

Grasshoppers are a big favorite! Not so many this year, but enough to keep them hunting in the enclosure. Robocat used to swat one out of the air, and hold it down with one paw casually while he groomed himself before the meal.

So delicious ! Do your boys love grasshoppers, too ? They were the favorite snack of my cats.

The giant moth I caught. I told them it was a "bird bug" and made bird whistles, and they went nuts. Ambercat only batted it around though, for several minutes. It finally took Storm to eat it. Its moth season now, and their diet is quite enriched!
