Sounds good to me. I never had an orange tom cat but have heard so often that they should be very special, your "Amber" sure is ! Looking forward to his pics and stories.
He has absolutely no fear of the older cats, he just runs around playing with toys and just suddenly makes a beeline for one of them and tackles them! Both Mikesch and Storm are starting to play with him now. No contact, but they chase him across the house, and a few seconds later, he's chasing them the other direction. He will be accepted fine when he's a little bigger and they can wrestle with him, I'm sure. The older cats are just kind of putting up with it all, but are all past the hissing phase. At least Floppy is swatting him off his chair when the kitten tries to climb up onto it to get at Floppy.
You are spoilt for choice :-) I must admit my favourite names were Tizian and Toulouse but today I would name an orange Male Amberjack ! I've read the name and loved it at once but Amiri sounds good, too. You will make the best choice. How are things going with the little fellow and the older boys ?
Great suggestion, I like Amberjack very much although it is a fish I just found out. :) From now on it is on my name list for orange males, too. The next time I am looking for an english name I have to ask a mother-tongue speaker , Amberjack wasn't in my english vocabulary at all.
I agree, don't name him Devil. I assume he is making some trouble. And no wonder "she's" so bold being really a he. Hopefully you will come up with a nicer name that Devil.
Like I said my friends you CAN edit the name of your "cats" - I just edited the name of one of mine - My Friends' Cats - I added the word Knoxville to it. Go to "my cats" - pick out the "cat" you want to edit and "edit the profile" and that's where you can change the name -- voila. xoxoxoxxo Luv to all
Right, that is the way it should work and after moving the Amber pics to a new Profile when you know the new name then delete the cat Amber. Still smiling that none noticed that SHE is a HE but I know sometimes it is a bit difficult to see the difference when they are so little. :) Guess the vet was satisfied with the cute "Pumuckl" ( a german Kobold with orange hair) ?
I believe you could create a new profile and move the pictures to that profile. That would change the name we all see just under the picture but not in the comments you've made.
Well, at any rate, he's a near perfect cat. The vet had trouble hearing his heart today because he was purring so loud. And he didn't run when company came over for Labor Day -- he was the life of the party!
I kind of figured it was a boy but I didn't want to say so 'cause after all, Mark, you, um, are the one that can actually look and see "under there"! Most orange tabbies are males anyway. Don't know why you can't keep the name Amber anyway...
Now I have to email Antonio and see if he can remove the name from "Amber's" pictures for now. I think the spirit of Daisy is determined that no other girl cat will ever live here.
Huunngh, oh no another male, not really oh no, just a gasp. Welcome little fella to your new permanent home and soon well find out your third name, lol.
